2015

i dreamed that the freeways and highways were littered with living dinosaurs. they clumsily walked in random directions, making the already chaotic traffic even more confusing and frustrating. horns blasted and collisions happened. dinosaurs too distracted by the fury at their feet would sometimes find a vehicle to chew on, believing it was a bush or plant. some dinosaurs began eating other dinosaurs. cars full of humans would applaud and shake their heads in approval of this cannibalistic sight. the air grew dark around me. i poked my head out of the car window. the belly of an enormous, yawning, dinosaur was slowly falling down on top of me. in fact, all the dinosaurs were settling down to take naps where they stood. the yawning was loud and disturbing and hurt my ears. the shadow surrounding me grew darker and darker until i could hear the metal top of the car begin to give way to the weight of the dinosaurs fat belly. as i woke up i could hear the fading sounds of a car being crushed like a soda can.
